Free Workshop on Saturday June 27 at 11am.

Adrian Belic

OSCAR nominated documentary filmmaker, Adrian Belic will give a free filmmaker workshop on Saturday June 27 at 11am. His new film BEYOND THE CALL, is screening at SAFILM. He will give a talk about the art and process of filmmaking. His focus will be on documentries, but many of the things to be discussed will be relevant to fiction filmmakers, because it is all about story.

To be discussed:
- Finding the story
- Shooting the story
- Crafting the story
- Getting the story out into the world

This will be more of a discussion rather then a straight lecture, so we expect at least some of the audience to come with questions. The filmmaking process is a collaborative process and we look forward to our time together to be collaborative as well.

Adrian Belic’s first documentary feature was GENGHIS BLUES, which won the Sundance Audience Award and was nominated for an Academy Award last year. His new film, BEYOND THE CALL, which is screening at SAFILM has screened at over 150 film festivals on five continents winning more then 40 awards including Grand Jury Prizes and Audience Awards. It aired nation-wide on the Emmy Award winning PBS series Independent Lens.

We are glad to have Adrian Belic as our guest and are excited that he will give San Antonio a free filmmaker workshop on Saturday June 27 at 11am.
